Exploring the Beaches of the Pacific Islands

Located east of Australia and just south of the Hawaii area, are the South Pacific Islands: hundreds of small islands scattered accross the particular area of the Pacific Ocean, all with amazing beaches, culture and entertainment. First are the Yasawa Islands in Fiji. Tuorists claim these islands to have one of the most beautiful beaches they have ever seen. The landscape here is mountainous but does not take away from the tropical feel; with ivory white beaches and crystal clear water. Horseshoe bay is said to have some of the best resorts of all the islands in the South Pacific. Also the bay is home to Matagi, an extinct volcano, which was the foundation which formed the bay as it is seen today. The well known Bora Bora islands house Matira Beach where some of the longest stretches of white sand, clear turquoise water and tall palm trees span the entire perimeter of the island. Along those lines, Avea beach forms safe lagoons great for swimming at any tide and even better for snorkling. The coral surrounding the island keeps many larger, dangerous sea creatures away from the shoreline. Tikikaveka beach has very similar features to Avea beach, so the choice between the two might be difficult. The Cook Islands are home to The One Foot Island. This island is famous for its sandbars which lead to an even smaller, more deserted island called Nude Island. The area by this island has the cleanest ocean bottoms due to the strong tidal currents. Interested in cliff jumping into some crystal clear water? Lalomanu beach is the place for you. Wherever you go in the South Pacific, whichever island you pick, there is a gurentee of an ultimate tropical experience. All of the South Pacific Islands are known for outstanding spa, resort and hotel stays…so pick and enjoy!
